The Ceremony in India…
Ceremony age of three months old baby in India called NISKARMANA. Said NISKARMANA in the field of ceremony means in English: “FIRST OUTING” or take baby out for the first time to see the sun. Every advance step of the baby’s life, since I was in the belly of the mother, since still in the house and now to step out of the house, each stage of baby’s life was accompanied by a religious ceremony. ‘Nelu bulanin’ ceremony in Bali is infants ceremony aged three months to do 105 days after the baby was born as the first month of the calendar bali is 35 days so that the three months instead of 90 days but 105 days. Offerings in this ceremony is divided into three kinds, and placed on three levels, namely the upper, middle and lower. In the implementation of the ceremony, at the first, priest lead the ceremony for the four brothers baby symbolized by stones, eggs, charcoal and pumpkins that are respectively held by the family, in addition to the heart of the banana as a symbol of a baby wrapped in cloths and given a gold bracelet and necklace. Priest anoint these symbols with holy water and fresh flour. Then they surround the jars filled with water put money in it as a living symbol of life. The ceremony finished all symbols / emblem is put together and will be exiled as a sign that the body is dirty they are released from the baby’s body, but the mental element remains close and helping with the baby to the old. Next, necklaces and bracelets as well as the fabric of ‘bajang colong’ released to then be charged to the baby. Furthermore ceremony addressed directly to the baby itself. Babies carried by her mother witnessed by his father, the baby gets the anointing with holy water and spells, particularly the mantras to the Sun God (Surya RADITYA) for the safety of the baby.
